Hold a ruler with millimetre markings right next to the mole and look at its widest point. Under 2mm is small, 2 to 5mm is medium, over 5mm is large. For moles on your back or the nape of your neck, ask someone to measure or take a close-up photo with the ruler beside it.

Skin tags tend to appear on the neck and underarms, and sometimes on the eyelids or under the breasts. A rough count is enough to tell whether you fall into the 1–15 or 16–30 package. If you have more than 30, Harmonie will look and quote separately.

Small, flat moles are usually quick to treat and heal well. The larger and more raised a mole is, the more carefully it has to be assessed and treated, to clear it fully while protecting the skin around it.
