Nose blackheads keep coming back after squeezing for two main reasons: many of the "black dots" on your nose are actually sebaceous filaments, a normal part of the skin that refills after you squeeze; and real blackheads return if the pores keep clogging. Cleaning them properly means reducing oil and clogging with a gentle routine (for example, BHA used regularly and in moderation), not squeezing with your fingers or overusing pore strips, and leaving extraction to a therapist with sterilised tools.

Sebaceous filaments are a lining of oil and dead cells inside the pore that helps carry oil to the skin's surface. Everyone has them, and they are most visible on the nose, the sides of the nostrils and the chin, where pores are larger and oil glands are most active. Because they are a normal structure, sebaceous filaments cannot be "removed for good"; squeeze them out and the pore simply fills up again before long.

Fingernails and fingertips carry bacteria, and the pressure is uneven. Squeezing hard from both sides can push the plug deeper instead of out, stretch and tear the pore wall, and leave the surrounding skin red, swollen and possibly marked. Nose skin is thin with many tiny blood vessels, so squeezing the same spot repeatedly easily leaves your nose red for a long time.

A strip only pulls out the top of the plug and part of the filaments near the surface. Seeing a strip covered in "gunk" is satisfying, but what lies beneath is still there and the pores refill within days. Peeling strips off often also tears at the surface layer of skin, easily causing irritation, dryness and stinging, especially if your skin is sensitive or you are already using exfoliating actives.

Dùng sữa rửa mặt dịu nhẹ, rửa tối đa hai lần mỗi ngày. Rửa nhiều hơn hay chà mạnh không làm hết mụn đầu đen mà còn khiến da khô và kích ứng. Nếu có trang điểm hoặc dùng kem chống nắng, buổi tối nên tẩy trang kỹ, nhất là các rãnh cánh mũi.
Use a gentle cleanser, no more than twice a day. Washing more often or scrubbing hard won't clear blackheads; it only leaves skin dry and irritated. If you wear makeup or sunscreen, remove it thoroughly at night, especially in the creases beside your nostrils.
2. BHA: dùng đều, đừng dùng dồn2. BHA: use it consistently, not aggressively
BHA (salicylic acid) tan được trong dầu nên thấm vào lỗ chân lông, giúp làm lỏng hỗn hợp dầu và tế bào chết. Đây là hoạt chất được dùng phổ biến cho da dầu và mụn đầu đen. Một vài nguyên tắc an toàn:
BHA (salicylic acid) is oil-soluble, so it gets into pores and helps loosen the mix of oil and dead cells. It is a widely used active for oily skin and blackheads. A few safe-use rules:
- Bắt đầu 2–3 lần mỗi tuần, nồng độ vừa phải; da quen rồi mới tăng dần nếu cần.Start 2–3 times a week at a moderate strength; increase gradually only once your skin is used to it.
- Thử trước ở một vùng nhỏ. Hơi châm chích nhẹ lúc đầu có thể gặp, nhưng đỏ rát kéo dài là dấu hiệu nên ngưng.Patch test first. A little tingling at first can happen, but lasting redness or burning is a sign to stop.

Oily skin still needs moisture. Choose a light gel or lotion labelled non-comedogenic. Skin that is over-dried can feel rougher and more uncomfortable.
